Rikke Jacobsen + Anne Brandhøj – May 2019

SOLO:

RIKKE JACOBSEN – ‘If People were Birds’

FEATURING:

ANNE BRANDHØJ – ‘Time will Tell’

Rikke Jacobsen is a bird. A bird that loves to draw on paper – primarily with watercolours. She likes the texture and the fragility of the handmade paper.

Rikke is a storyteller – creating subtle situations that reflects something from our everyday life – a certain feeling, an awkward situation or a poetic moment. Rikke is an artist – draws precisely, in full control and with neat details and delicate shades. Rikke Jacobsen is original – a woman with artistic feathers in her cap.

Anne Brandhøj is working in the area within aesthetic and environmental sustainability. Her abstract wood objects balances on the fine line between something fragile and robust with their unbalanced proportions and bulky shapes. She loves wood, because it is a living material. Anne likes the loss of control – where the material itself takes over. Anne Brandhøj works and design in a minimalistic way that ultimately can be seen as an appeal for thoughtfulness and taking a stand.
