EXTINCT – Rikke Jacobsen FLOW / METAMORPHOSIS – Tine Min September/October 2021

We are entering the autumn with a double solo exhibition:

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 17. 2021 from 5PM to 8PM

Rikke Jacobsen, who had her first solo exhibition at VÆG back in May 2019.

Tine Min makes her debut – showing her ceramic sculptures for the first time in public.

Rikke Jacobsen (b. 1975) is exploring the human nature by painting animals. A theme Rikke has been examining and challenged for several years now. She wants us to reflect on our behaviour by mirroring characteristics of animals. The new works show primarily endangered animals. Time is an invisible framework for our existence. Life is fragile – we must value and appreciate the near and real in everyday life.

Tine Min (b. 1985) is playing with clay. Tine likes the intuitive process were her bare hands enter into dialogue with the living natural material. It is unpolished energy. It is sensitive contrasts and imbalances. Tine creates a kind of aesthetic monster sculptures. She wants us to embrace the imperfect and accept our feelings and limitations. Be human – get in the zone and go with the flow.
