Solo:

MAJA EJBY  – Low Tide Lithium and other useless life-rafts – ceramics

Featuring:

THOMAS PLAUBORG – New selected works– paintings + drawings

Saturday July 9th 2022 – from 11am to 3pm.

We celebrate summer with a solo exhibition by Danish ceramic artist Maja Ejby (b. 1994).The Danish Arts Foundation has been given Maja a work grant for New Talent in both 2021 and 2022. Now after many months in her studio the development and experimental work has resulted in a plethora of exhilarating and innovating glazes that have all come together in this exhibition. Maja has truly been challenging traditional methods. With the curiosity of the child, with the sensibility of the artist and with the scientific approach of the alchemist. It’s a meeting between the controlled and skilled craftsmanship of the throwing wheel and the unpredictable rapidly evolving glaze. It is the art of control and of letting go.

Thomas Plauborg (b. 1990) is a player. He plays in the field of tension between abstract and concrete. He plays with colours, shapes, light, perspective and composition. He plays with materials – oil, acrylic, tar and asphalt. And Thomas plays with us as viewers; challenges us to transform his abstract works into something meaningful and figurative.

The exhibition is on view until August 13th2022

We look forward to seeing you.

Kind regards, Lars Bonde
