ABSTRACT ADRENALINE<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

We are pleased to present to you a new artist in the gallery: Simon Sebastian G.L.<\/p>\n

For nearly two years Simon has been struggling, fighting and creating new strong expressive collages and sculptures. The works are made in Bergen, Norway – Paris, France and his hometown Aarhus, Denmark. <\/p>\n

Simon creates an energy in the field between materials, colours, forms and structures. The process is a very big part of the final work. <\/p>\n

He prepares himself by collecting a huge amount of stuff. Making an archive. But for the specific artwork there is nogame plan.It happens in the moment. <\/p>\n

Simon likes when there is something at stake. When you feel the adrenaline is pumping. <\/p>\n

It is about dropping the control. Building up – cutting papers, painting canvases, gluing posters. Tearing down – ripping of, painting over. The deconstruction of one work can be the beginning of a new. It is like an eco-system – leftovers from one collage are used in a sculpture and that sculpture is used as \u2018a print-maker\u2019on another canvas. Coincidences. It is a game of chance. Nothing is right or wrong. Sharpen your senses. Get in the zone and go with the flow. It is now. It is real. It is like a psychical energy discharge. Simon likes boxing – no wonder. <\/p>\n

An intense process for many hours in a row. Very exhausting. Very enriching. <\/p>\n

The result? It is up to you. Feel it, shape it, create it.<\/p>\n

Simon is currently studying at University of Bergen – The Art Academy – Department of Contemporary Art. The last year he has been on exchange at \u00c9cole nationale sup\u00e9rieure d\u2019arts de Paris-Cergy.<\/p>\n

The exhibition is on view until October 3th<\/sup>2020<\/p>\n

Simon Sebastian G.L. will be present at the opening.<\/p>\n
