More than a year ago we showed paintings by Sylvest Jeppesen, where he was exploring stories defining our lives through archetypal characters. Now he is back with a totally new series of oil paintings with the title Caput, which means head<\/em>, the top of a thing<\/em>or some kind of knob-like<\/em>. Sylvest is focusing on the head – not only as a communication tool, but more as a construction – as a form with curves, rectangles, circles etc. Although he is working with the heads in an objective way – it all ends up with a lot of vibrant paintings full of personality and human presence. <\/p>\n

We are also pleased to present to you a new artist in the gallery: Isabel Schiller Buus. Isabel just graduated in 2020 with top-characters from the Royal Danish Academy – Architecture, Design, Conservation. She sees herself as a kind of scientist who is constantly challenging and investigating the nature of the ceramics. By 1260 degrees Celsius almost everything can happen! Isabel strives to create a wild and living ceramic universe.  <\/p>\n
